The Exide GNB Marathon L range provides powerful battery backup solutions for your individual requirements. The Marathon L series gives excellent reliability and performance in medium and long duration discharge applications.
The Marathon XL12V85 battery replaces the now discontinued Marathon L12V80 from Exide GNB. For comparison of the two battery products we have provided data sheets for the new battery and the old type, which can be found in the Product Information section of this page, which we hope you find useful.

Questions & Answers
- Is the XL12V85 a suitable equivalent replacement for the L12V80? The Marathon XL12V85 battery does offer an increase in power against the old L12V80, and so will be a good replacement in terms of power output. However is should be noted that the new battery is a different physical size against the previous battery. The footprint for the new battery is quite similar to the old, though less in length it is little wider and taller, so this should be taken into consideration in a replacement project.
